The belligerent warfare we pushed on each other tore us apart
I only wished I was kinder to you
Because seeing you upset isn’t worth anything
I knew too well that everything would turn out wrong
That the guilt would deteriorate me inside out
That your desolation would melt into this song
I thought I’d savior this moment, but I had a change in heart
